A visa on arrival is obtained at the port of entry before reaching immigration. When you arrive in Malaysia, you can purchase a visa on arrival at the airport.
Travelers must arrive from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, or Brunei and be in possession of a valid visa or have an exit stamp in their passport from Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, or Brunei.
Visa on arrival is supported at eight airports, four land borders and one seaport.

A Malaysian eVisa is the fastest and easiest way of obtaining a visa for Malaysia because travelers can submit their applications and supporting documents online. Once the application is approved, travelers receive their eVisa confirmation electronically.
A valid visa is required to board the flight. If the visa is expired or doesn’t match the traveler’s passport information, travelers will not be able to board their flight.
