Land borders at Victoria Falls and Kazungula are open for fully vaccinated travelers only.
Transit is allowed with restrictions for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are allowed to transit through Zimbabwe. Please check the documentation before transiting.

No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result before traveling to Zimbabwe.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Zimbabwe
Travelers are required to have a vaccination certificate proving they have been fully vaccinated (e.g, 2 doses of a 2 dose regimen or a single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine) to enter Zimbabwe.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 12.
On Arrival
COVID-19 test and health screening may be required on arrival
Travelers may be subject to undergo health screening and temperature checks on arrival in Zimbabwe.
Symptomatic travelers must take a COVID-19 PCR test at their own cost.
This requirement doesn’t apply to the following travelers:
- Travelers under the age of 12.
No quarantine is required
Travelers don’t need to quarantine on arrival.
Residents and citizens who don’t present proof of vaccination or COVID-PCR test results before departure may be required to take a PCR test on arrival. On arrival, travelers who test positive for the COVID-19 PCR test must self-quarantine for 10 days at their own expense and get tested at the end of quarantine.
