Border Status
Entry restricted for international travelers
Most international travelers are not allowed to enter Vanuatu. International flights to and from Vanuatu have been suspended until further notice.
Entry restrictions do not apply to:
- Vanuatu citizens and residents;
- Diplomats;
- Travelers on government priority projects;
- Business owners.

Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure.

Mandatory pre-registration form
This registration is to be completed by all people wanting to travel to Vanuatu. Once travel has been approved travelers will be prompted to upload additional documents to the form. This must be completed 24-72 hours before the flight.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Vanuatu
Travelers must have proof that they have been fully vaccinated with a WHO-approved vaccine. Travelers that have received a 2 dose vaccine are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after their final dose. Travelers that have received a single dose vaccine are considered fully vaccinated 28 days after their dose.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 18;
- Travelers that have been granted an exemption.
On Arrival
Mandatory 14-day quarantine
Travelers, including citizens and residents, are required to quarantine at designated facilities for 14 days on arrival. Travelers will be required to undergo tests on days 5 and 11 of quarantine.
Health screening on arrival
Temperature screening is required for all travelers on arrival in Vanuatu.
