Border Status
Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers arriving from other US territories and US states are allowed to enter the USVI.
Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Transit is allowed with restrictions
Travelers arriving from US states or other territories are allowed to transit through the United States Virgin Islands following the listed procedures.
Transit travelers are required to:
- Complete the online Travel Screening Portal a maximum of 5 days before their departure to USVI and present a paper copy or digital version on arrival;
- Have a negative COVID-19 antigen (rapid) or molecular (RT-PCR, viral, NAAT) test. The test must be taken a maximum of 5 days before departure to the US Virgin Islands.

Before You Leave
No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers arriving from selected countries are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result before traveling to the US Virgin Islands.
Mandatory travel authorization form
All travelers entering USVI by air or sea, including travelers in transit and children, are required to complete the online Travel Screening Portal and present a paper copy or digital version on arrival.
All travelers aged 18 and older must complete their own application.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Domestic travelers under the age of 5;
- International travelers under the age of 2.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for the US Virgin Islands
Fully vaccinated travelers must have proof of vaccination to be exempt from the requirement to provide proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result.
Travelers are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 14 days have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.
CURRENTLY, the US government accepts vaccines approved or authorized for emergency use by the U.S. FDA and the WHO. Vaccines obtained are Pfizer-BioNTech (e.g., COMIRNATY, Tozinameran), AstraZeneca-Oxford (e.g., Covishield, Vaxzevria), Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Moderna, Sinopharm BIBP, Covaxin, Sinovac-CoronaVac, Nuvaxovid, and Novavax/Covovax.
Travelers unable to present valid proof of vaccination are required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers and present proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result.
On Arrival
No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in USVI.
While There
Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers aged 2 years and older must wear masks on public transportation. Masks must cover the wearer's mouth and nose, and must not contain any vents. This requirement is enforced by a fine.
