Travelers are allowed to enter Uruguay. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.

Before You Leave
No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to present negative COVID-19 test results before traveling to Uruguay.
This requirement also applies to:
- Travelers under the age of 6;
- Travelers who recovered from COVID-19, and who have proof of a positive COVID-19 test result from an antigen or RT-PCR test that was taken between 10 and 90 days before traveling.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Uruguay
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a vaccination certificate showing they have received 1 dose or 2, depending on the type of vaccine, and that 14 days have passed since they have received their final dose.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Uruguayan citizens and residents;
- Travelers under 6 years of age;
- Travelers who recovered from COVID-19 in no more than 90 days before their travel. They must have proof of a positive COVID-19 antigen or RT-PCR test result from a test taken at least 10 days before arrival;
Mandatory health insurance
Travelers are required to have health insurance coverage in Uruguay. Travelers are recommended to include coverage for COVID-19-related expenses.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Uruguayan citizens.
Mandatory sworn health statement
All travelers are required to submit a sworn health statement a maximum of 48 hours before departure to Uruguay.
Once completed, it generates a link to download the statement. Travelers are required to carry it with them.
Recommended contact-tracing app
Travelers are recommended to download a Coronavirus Oops application before travel and activate Bluetooth to follow up if a case of COVID-19 arises.
On Arrival
No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Uruguay.

Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers must wear masks in all public places where a distance of 2 meters cannot be maintained.
