Border Status
Entry restricted for international travelers
Travelers are not allowed to enter Ukraine. All flights are suspended until further notice. However, travelers can enter Ukraine by land. Border checkpoints with Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, and Moldova are open.

Before You Leave
No proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test is required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers, with valid proof of vaccination, are not required to present proof of negative COVID-19 test to enter Ukraine.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Ukraine
Vaccinated travelers must present receipt of at least 1 dose of vaccination against COVID-19 with vaccines included by WHO in the list approved for use in emergency situations.
Vaccines currently included: Pfizer/BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen, AstraZeneca/Covishield (India), AstraZeneca/SKBio (South Korea), Moderna/Spikevax, Sinopharm (Vero Cell), CoronaVac (Sinovac).
Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof.
Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers in transit who do not leave the transit zone of the airport;
- Travelers under the age of 12.
Mandatory health insurance
Travelers must have valid health insurance to cover medical expenses, including coverage for COVID-19 treatment, in Ukraine.
The insurance policy must be issued by a Ukrainian insurance company or a foreign insurance company that has a representative office in Ukraine. The policy must cover the entire duration of stay in Ukraine.

- Ukrainian citizens.
On Arrival
No quarantine required for vaccinated travelers
Travelers arriving with valid vaccination certificates are not required to quarantine on arrival in Ukraine.

Masks are mandatory in public
Wearing masks is mandatory in public transportation and indoor public places.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 6.
