Fully vaccinated travelers are allowed to enter Tonga. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
This restriction does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 12 who can follow the rules for fully vaccinated travelers to enter Tonga.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers are required to show a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test result (RAT) taken by a medical professional a maximum of 24 hours before departure to Tonga.

Travelers must fill in the Health Arrival Declaration Form and provide a valid phone number and email before arrival in Tonga.

Mandatory proof of vaccination for Tonga
All travelers are required to have a valid vaccination certificate showing they received a full course of vaccination at least 14 days before arrival in Tonga.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 12.
Recommended travel insurance
Travelers are recommended to purchase travel health insurance while booking tickets before traveling to Tonga.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Residents of Tonga
On Arrival
Mandatory COVID-19 test after arrival
Travelers must take a COVID-19 PCR test at an approved health center in their residence or Vaiola Hospital. Travelers must take the test from day 3 to day 5 after arrival in Tonga.
Quarantine may be required
Travelers who test positive for COVID-19 are required to quarantine for 5 days. If the traveler is still symptomatic, the quarantine period will be extended for another 3 days.
Citizens and residents who have not completed their vaccination are required to quarantine for 5 days at a government-designated MIQ.
