Travelers are allowed to enter Spain. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Transit is allowed
Travelers are allowed to transit through Spain.
Travelers must transit for a maximum of 24 hours, stay in the international zone at the airport, and have their onward flight ticket.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result required for unvaccinated travelers
Unvaccinated travelers are required to have a negative COVID-19 test result. The test can be a molecular nucleic acid test (NAAT, RT-PCR, RT-LAMP, TMA, HAD, NEAR, CRISPR, SDA) taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure, or a negative antigen test results from a test taken a maximum of 24 hours before departure. The antigen test must be a test included in the list of common tests authorized by the European Commission.
Travelers who are eligible for the EU Digital COVID-19 Certificate or equivalent may use it to present proof.
The original test result must be in Spanish, English, French, or German. The test must have the traveler’s name, date of sample collection, type of test performed, and the issuing country.
This requirement also applies to travelers departing from a Spanish Region going to the Canary Islands.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 12;
- Fully vaccinated travelers who received their last dose at least 14 days before travel. They must have valid proof of vaccination;
- Travelers with a certificate of recovery showing that more than 11 days have passed since the first positive NAAT or RAT test was performed. This test cannot be more than 180 days old (carried out as of October 1st, 2021); The test result must include the full name, date of the result, type of test, and issuing country.
- Travelers in transit for less than 24 hours, as long as they don’t leave the international departure area;
- Travelers arriving from France by land.

Mandatory health control form for travelers without EU Digital COVID Certificate or equivalent
Travelers who do not have EU Digital COVID Certificate or EU equivalent must complete the SPTH Health Control Form before departure to Spain and present their QR code before boarding and upon arrival.
The traveler will be required to enter the data of your vaccination or recovery of infection.

This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 12;
- Travelers with EU Digital COVID Certificate or EU equivalent;
- Travelers arriving from France by land.
For Transit
No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results required for transit
Travelers are not required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result to make a transit connection in Spain, as long as they do not leave the airport international zone.
On Arrival
No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Spain.
