Travelers are allowed to enter Russia by air.

Travelers are allowed to transit through Russia.
Travelers in transit must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. Travelers must take the test a maximum of 48 hours before arrival.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers from selected countries must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 48 hours before arrival in Russia. The test result must be in English or Russian (a notarized translation to Russian is accepted). Travelers are also required to print and fill out the COVID-19 testing form.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Russian Federation nationals.
- A Pcr Test Up To 48 hours Before Arrival
Mandatory medical insurance
Most travelers are required to obtain medical insurance before they commence their journey, regardless of the purpose of their visit.
The insurance policy must meet the following requirements:
- Cover the entire duration of the stay in Russia;
- Indicate the geographical area of coverage as worldwide, Russian Federation or Europe (Russia included);
- Contain the date, stamp, and signature of the insurer, the policy number, the full name of the person insured; the address and contact details of the insurer; the list of medical services and medical transport including repatriation.

This requirement does not apply to:
- Russian nationals.
Accommodation booking may be required
Travelers who are not eligible for visa-free travel to Russia are required to arrive with proof of accommodation reservation.

Travelers are required to complete a travel application form before arriving in Russia.
On Arrival
Quarantine may be required
Travelers will be required to self-quarantine if they develop any symptoms of COVID-19 and test positive for COVID-19.
Local jurisdictions set their own rules regarding quarantine requirements for travelers arriving in the country. Check with local authorities for current requirements.
Health screening may be required on arrival
Travelers may be subject to temperature screening and randomly selected for additional COVID-19 PCR testing on arrival.
