No proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required
Travelers are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result before traveling to Papua New Guinea.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Papua New Guinea
Travelers must have a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they received a full vaccination course, depending on the vaccine used.
Fully vaccinated travelers must receive the recommended doses of valid COVID-19 vaccines at least 14 days before traveling to Papua New Guinea.
The accepted 2 dose vaccines are Oxford-AstraZeneca, COVISHIELD, Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna-Spikevax, Sinopharm-BBIBP, CoronaVac Sinovac, Novavax, Covaxin (Bharat Biotech), or Covovax. The accepted 1 dose vaccine is Johnson and Johnson.
Travelers who have received a combination of 2 different accepted vaccinations are considered fully vaccinated.
This vaccination requirement doesn’t apply to the following travelers:
- Travelers under the age of 18;
- Travelers who are citizens or permanent residents of Papua New Guinea.

Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Papua New Guinea.

Travelers are required to wear masks in public places where social distancing is not possible.
