No proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to have proof of a negative COVID-19 test result before traveling to Panama.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 17 if accompanied by an adult.
Mandatory health declaration form
All travelers are required to complete an Electronic Affidavit (sworn statement) before boarding their flight to Panama. After filling up the document, travelers will receive a QR code that must be shown on their smartphones.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Panama
Fully vaccinated travelers must present a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate on arrival, showing at least 14 days have passed since they received the last dose. Vaccines must be approved by the WHO, EMA, or FDA.
Travelers must have received 2 doses to be considered fully vaccinated, with the exception of travelers vaccinated with Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) for which 1 dose will be accepted. Travelers who do not meet this requirement will be considered partially vaccinated and must follow the rules for partially vaccinated and unvaccinated travelers.
Proof of minimum funds may be required
Travelers may be required to prove they have a minimum of 500 USD to enter Panama.
For Transit
No proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required for transit
Travelers with flight connections in Panama are exempt from the COVID-19 test requirement as long as they remain in the international departure area.
Travelers may need to present proof indicating they are allowed to enter their destination country.
On Arrival
No quarantine required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers arriving with a valid vaccination certificate are not required to quarantine on arrival in Panama.
Health screening on arrival
Temperature screening is required for all travelers on arrival in Panama.
