Description

Travelers are allowed to transit through the Netherlands as long they meet any of the following conditions: -Fully vaccinated travelers; -Travelers going to an EU or Schengen country must show permission to enter that country and stay in the transit zone of the airport; -Travelers going to a non-EU and non-Schengen country must have a confirmed outward flight ticket; they must stay in the transit zone of the airport and transit for a maximum of 48 hours on their way to a non-EU country.

Mandatory proof of vaccination for the Netherlands

Fully vaccinated travelers must bring proof of vaccination or may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

Proof of vaccination is valid only if it has passed 28 days after the vaccination schedule of a single dose and this single dose has been administered (Janssen), or the vaccination schedule of 2 doses and both doses have been administered 14 days before arrival, or 1 dose has been administered and it has been confirmed that the person vaccinated had previously been infected with COVID-19.

Travelers must have received the last vaccination dose of their primary vaccination in the past 270 days for a valid vaccination certificate. After receiving a booster vaccination the vaccination certificate is immediately valid and does not expire.

The vaccine must be approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) or is on the Emergency Use Listing of the World Health Organization (WHO). Non-EU residents can present valid paper vaccination certificates.

Currently, vaccination and recovery certificates from Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Benin, Cape Verde, Colombia, El Salvador, Faroe Islands, Georgia, Israel, Iceland, Indonesia, Jordan, Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Malaysia, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, New Zealand, North Macedonia, Norway, Panama, San Marino, Serbia, Seychelles, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Tunisia, Togo, Turkey, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Vietnam, and Vatican City are accepted under reciprocity.

Travelers have the option to present proof via EU Digital Certificate. Travelers without the Digital Certificate must show a valid paper vaccination certificate.
