Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for unvaccinated travelers
Unvaccinated travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result (Gene Xpert, True NAAT, RT PCR). Travelers must take the test a maximum of 72 hours before departure from the first embarkation point.
This testing requirement doesn’t apply to the following travelers:
- Travelers under the age of 5.
- A RT PCR Test Up To 72 hours Before Departure
On Arrival
COVID-19 test may be required on arrival
Symptomatic and unvaccinated travelers may need to take a COVID-19 antigen test on arrival in Nepal.
Quarantine may be required
Travelers don’t need to quarantine on arrival in Nepal.
However, symptomatic travelers who test COVID-19 positive on arrival must undergo quarantine in Government-provided facilities at their own cost.
While There
Masks are not required in public
Travelers don’t need to wear masks in public places.
However, travelers may need to wear masks in some essential services and at the airport.
