Travelers are allowed to enter Myanmar. Please check the quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.

International travelers are not allowed to transit through Myanmar.

Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers with unvaccinated/incomplete COVID-19 vaccination status or travelers who cannot present valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate must present a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result issued at most 48 hours before arrival to Myanmar.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 6 years.
- A RT PCR Test Up To 48 hours Before Arrival
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Myanmar
Fully vaccinated travelers are required to have a valid vaccination certificate showing they received a full course of vaccination at least 14 days before departure to Myanmar.
Approved vaccines are CoronaVac, AstraZeneca, CoviShield, Pfizer BioNTech, Myancopharm, Janssen/Johnson&Johnson, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sputnik, Covaxin, Covovax, CorBEvax, and Nuvaxovid.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 12 who are traveling with fully vaccinated parents.
Mandatory health insurance
Travelers are required to have printed proof of health insurance with Inbound Travel Accident Insurance Policy with COVID-19 coverage from Myanma Insurance.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Nationals of Myanmar.
On Arrival
Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers are required to take a COVID-19 rapid diagnostic test on arrival in Myanmar at their own cost.
Fully vaccinated travelers may leave the airport after receiving a negative test results from the respective health authorities.
Quarantine may be required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers who test positive for COVID-19 on their on-arrival RDT test or who show COVID-19 symptoms are to be transferred to a designated hospital, treatment center, or hotel.
Diplomats, international staff from the UN, and their families may be allowed to quarantine at home.
Health screening on arrival
Health screening is required for all travelers on arrival.
