Travelers don’t need a COVID-19 test before traveling to Malaysia.
Recommended MySejahtera app
Travelers are recommended to download the MySejahtera application before departure or after arrival to Malaysia to indicate their COVID-19 risk status while staying in Malaysia.
Travelers no longer need to complete the features of the Traveler’s Card in the MySejahtera application.
This recommendation doesn’t apply to the following travelers:
- Malaysian nationals.

COVID-19 test may be required on arrival
Travelers showing symptoms of COVID-19 on arrival must take a COVID-19 test on arrival.
However, travelers who have been in China in the last 14 days before traveling to Malaysia must take a COVID-19 RTK antigen test on arrival.
Quarantine is not required
Travelers don’t need to quarantine on arrival in Malaysia.
Health screening on arrival
All travelers must undergo temperature screening on arrival in Malaysia.

Travelers must wear masks on airplanes and public transportation.
