Travelers can enter Malaysia. Before traveling, please check the testing requirement.
Transit is allowed
Travelers can transit through the international terminals of Malaysian airports as long as they remain airside. The maximum transit time is 24 hours.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results is not required
Travelers don’t need a negative COVID-19 test result before traveling to Malaysia.
Mandatory health declaration form before exiting China
All travelers exiting mainland China must submit a health declaration form online or via WeChat. Travelers must declare their health information a maximum of 24 hours before their exit.
To make the declaration with WeChat, travelers should search for “passenger fingertip service” within the app. Once the declaration is complete, a QR code will be generated, which can be scanned by immigration.
Recommended MySejahtera app
Travelers are recommended to download the MySejahtera application before departure or after arrival to Malaysia to indicate their COVID-19 risk status while staying in Malaysia.
Travelers no longer need to complete the features of the Traveler’s Card in the MySejahtera application.
This recommendation doesn’t apply to the following travelers:
- Malaysian nationals.
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is not required for Malaysia
Travelers don’t need proof of COVID-19 vaccination before traveling to Malaysia.
On Arrival
Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers who have been in China in the last 14 days before traveling to Malaysia must take a COVID-19 RTK antigen test on arrival.
Quarantine is not required
Travelers don’t need to quarantine on arrival in Malaysia.
Health screening on arrival
All travelers must undergo temperature screening on arrival in Malaysia.
