Travelers are not allowed to enter Macau SAR.
Entry restrictions do not apply to:
- Fully vaccinated Macau SAR residents;
- Unvaccinated Macau SAR residents under the age of 12.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 test result. The test must be a nucleic acid test issued a maximum of 48 hours before departure to Macau SAR.
Travelers infected with COVID-19 in the last 2 months are required to take 3 consecutive negative COVID-19 antigen or nucleic acid test results (each test at least 24 hours apart) at least 14 days before departure to Macau SAR.

Mandatory proof of vaccination for Macau SAR
Travelers aged 12 and older must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing they received all doses required at least 14 days before traveling to Macau SAR.
Most vaccines need 2 doses, a few 1 or 3 in order to render initial-series protection. Travelers over the age of 18 years old must receive a booster shot if 7 months have passed since receiving the last dose of the primary COVID-19 vaccination series.
Certificates must be issued for the purpose of international travel or recognized by the Chinese Embassies/Consulates.
This restriction does not apply to:
- Travelers with a doctor’s certificate of being unsuitable for vaccination;
- Travelers under the age of 12.

Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers must take a COVID-19 nucleic acid test on arrival.
Mandatory quarantine
Travelers who test negative in their on-arrival must undergo a 7-day medical observation in Macau SAR and practice 3 days of self-health management.
During the self-health monitoring period, travelers will generate a ‘yellow’ Macao Health Code but are subject to take a nucleic acid test on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, and 7th day, counting from the day after the completion of medical observation.
Travelers who test positive in their on-arrival COVID-19 test must undergo a 10-day medical observation from the next day after arrival.
