Description

Fully vaccinated travelers arriving from selected countries are allowed to enter Luxembourg. Travelers must have proof of a completed vaccination schedule that is considered equivalent in Luxembourg. Please see the source for more details.

Entry restrictions do not apply to:

  • Citizens of the EU and Schengen associated countries, as well as their family members;
  • Travelers with a recovery certificate from COVID-19. The recovery certificate is valid from 11 to 180 days after the first positive COVID-19 NAAT test result. A recovery certificate must be issued in Albania, Andorra, Armenia, Benin, Cabo Verde, El Salvador, Georgia, Israel, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, Panama, Republic of North Macedonia, United Kingdom, San Marino, Serbia, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay;
  • Long-term EU residents and their family members;
  • Travelers with essential reasons.

Travelers must provide a certificate showing that at least 14 days have passed since they received their final dose of an EMA-approved vaccine (AstraZeneca, BioNTech/Pfizer, Johnson&Johnson and Moderna) issued by a country in the European Union, Schengen Area, or a third country whose vaccination certificate is considered equivalent. Additional vaccines accepted are Covishield (Serum Institute of India Pvt. Ltd (SII)), R-Covi (R-Pharm), and COVID-19 vaccine (recombinant) (FIOCRUZ). The validity of vaccination certificates is 270 days after the last dose of a complete vaccination. Booster vaccination currently has no expiration date.

Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof.

Travelers from third countries from which proof of vaccination is accepted will need to present official documents proving their residence in one of those countries.
