Transit is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to transit through Kenya following the listed procedures. Please check the documentation, and/or testing requirements before transiting. Transit travelers are also required to: -Complete the “Travelers Health Surveillance Form” before travel; -Present a valid transit visa.

Before You Leave
No proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to provide proof of a pre-departure negative COVID-19 test result to enter Kenya.
Mandatory health surveillance form
Travelers, including those in transit, are required to complete the traveler’s Health Surveillance Form online before travel.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Kenya
Travelers must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate showing that they were fully vaccinated. Travelers must upload their vaccination certificates to the Global Haven platform prior to boarding their flight to Kenya.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19 a maximum of 90 days before departure with a letter from a recognized medical practitioner stating that the traveler has recovered;
- Travelers with medical conditions precluding vaccination. Such travelers are required to provide a letter from a recognized medical practitioner detailing the medical reason precluding vaccination;
- Returning unvaccinated Kenyan citizens or residents.

Mandatory proof of vaccination for UAE nationals before exiting the UAE
Fully vaccinated United Arab Emirates nationals over the age of 18 are required to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19 to depart from the UAE. United Arab Emirates nationals are required to complete 1 dose of the approved COVID-19 vaccine no less than 1 month before departure or 2 doses of an approved vaccine.
On Arrival
No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Kenya.

Masks are mandatory in certain settings
Travelers are required to wear masks on personal service vehicles, aircraft, and in health centers, offices, supermarkets, markets, and places of worship. However, the use of masks is optional in outdoor public places.
