Before You Leave
Proof of pre-departure COVID-19 test is not required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers don’t need a COVID-19 test before traveling to Iran.
Mandatory proof of COVID-19 vaccination for Iran
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a valid COVID-19 vaccination certificate. The certificate must show that travelers received all the required doses at least 14 days before traveling.
The vaccination certificate must be written in English.
This vaccination requirement doesn’t apply to the following travelers:
- Travelers under the age of 12;
- Nationals of Iran.
On Arrival
COVID-19 test may be required on arrival
Travelers must take a COVID-19 test on arrival in Iran at their own cost if they are showing symptoms.
Quarantine may be required
Travelers who test positive for the COVID-19 test on arrival may need to quarantine at their own expense.

Travelers must wear masks in public places and on public transportation.
