Travelers arriving from selected countries are allowed entry into Indonesia. Travelers must enter through Soekarno Hatta (Banten), Juanda (East Java), Ngurah Rai (Bali), Hang Nadim and Raja Haji Fisabilillah (Riau Islands), Sam Ratulangi (North Sulawesi), Zainuddin Abdul Madjid (West Nusa Tenggara), Kualanamu ( North Sumatra), Sultan Hasanuddin, (South Sulawesi), Yogyakarta (Yogyakarta Special Region), Tanjung Benoa (Bali), Batam (Riau Islands), Tanjung Pinang, Bintan, and Tanjung Balai Karimun (Riau Islands), Nunukan (North Kalimantan), Dumai (Riau), Aruk (West Kalimantan), Entikong (West Kalimantan), Motaain (East Nusa Tenggara), Sultan Iskandar Muda (Aceh), Minangkabau (West Sumatra), Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II (South Sumatra), Adisumarmo (Central Java), Syamsuddin Noor (South Kalimantan), and Sultan Aji Muhammad Sulaiman Sepinggan (East Kalimantan) and they must meet one of the following requirements:
-Obtain a visa on arrival; -Holders of valid visit visa (B211) or a limited stay visa; -Holders of a valid Business Travel Card; -Travelers under the Travel Corridor Arrangement (TCA); -Holders of valid Stay Permits (ITAS or ITAP) and Re-Entry Permits; -Travelers with health or humanitarian purposes; -Holders of diplomatic and service visas.
Travelers can enter other Indonesia via other points of entry only if they meet specific exemptions, such as being a valid visa holder or entering via a Travel Corridor Arrangement.

Transit is allowed for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are allowed to transit through Indonesia. Transiting travelers who choose to leave the airport for a stopover will need to verify visa eligibility.

Before You Leave
No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results required
Travelers are not required to have a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result before traveling to Indonesia.
Mandatory PeduliLindungi App
Travelers are required to download the PeduliLindung application for digital contact tracing and vaccination verification before departure to Indonesia.
Travelers are also required to complete the e-HAC (Health Alert Card) within the PeduliLindung application to travel domestically within Indonesia.
Mandatory electronic customs declaration
Travelers are required to complete an Electronic Customs Declaration and present the completed form with the QR code to the Customs Officer on arrival.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Indonesia
Travelers are required to download the PeduliLindungi app to get COVID-19 vaccine verification. Travelers may wait for up to 5 working days for approval.
Travelers must have received a complete dose (second or third dose/booster) of the vaccine at least 14 days before departure to Indonesia.
Foreign nationals who cannot be vaccinated due to medical conditions must show a health certificate stating the person is unfit for COVID-19 vaccination.
Indonesia accepts the UK’s NHS certificate for proof of vaccination and recovery. Both digital and paper copies of the NHS may be required to be presented at different moments.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Holders of diplomatic visas at the ministerial level on official visits;
- Travelers under the age of 18;
- Travelers under the Travel Corridor Arrangement scheme;
- Travelers who have been positive for COVID-19 in the past 30 days are not required to present a COVID-19 vaccination certificate and negative COVID-19 RT-PCR results before departure. However, travelers have to take a COVID-19 RT-PCR test on arrival;
- Travelers with a doctor’s certificate or recovery certificate from COVID-19 from the Government Hospital of the country of departure or the ministry of health of the country of origin stating that the traveler is no longer actively transmitting COVID-19.
On Arrival
COVID-19 test on arrival may be required
Travelers are required to take a COVID-19 RT-PCR test on arrival only if they present any COVID-19 symptoms, including body temperature above 37.5 degrees celsius.
Also, travelers who have been positive for COVID-19 in the past 30 days are required to take a COVID-19 RT-PCR test on arrival.
Quarantine may be required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers who test positive for the COVID-19 test performed on arrival are required to quarantine on arrival.
Mandatory health pass for local public activity
Domestic travelers are required to have either proof of vaccination, including a booster dose or a negative COVID-19 test for all domestic travel between Indonesian regions by air, land or sea.
Domestic travelers with proof of vaccination (including a booster dose) are not required to provide a negative COVID-19 test.
Domestic travelers who have only received a second vaccination dose are required to have proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure. Alternatively, travelers can have a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken a maximum of 24 hours before departure.
Domestic travelers who have only received the first vaccination dose are required to have proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result taken 72 hours before departure.
Unvaccinated domestic travelers with special health conditions that prevent them from receiving a COVID-19 vaccination must have a certificate from the government hospital of the country/region of origin explaining why they cannot receive a COVID-19 vaccination. Unvaccinated domestic travelers with special health conditions must also have proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test taken 72 hours before departure.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Domestic travelers aged 6-17 years old who are required to have at least proof of the second dose of COVID-19 vaccination;
- Domestic travelers under the age of 6 who are allowed to travel with their parents or caregivers.
