Travelers are allowed to enter India. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
For interstate traveling, travelers should inform themselves before the planned trip about the requirements. Some states require either proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a COVID-19 negative test result and/or testing on arrival if entering from other Indian states. Additional quarantine may be necessary, depending on the state of origin.

Exiting Saudi Arabia: Travel is allowed for vaccinated Saudi Arabian citizens
Fully vaccinated Saudi citizens are required to provide valid proof of vaccination before departure from Saudi Arabia. They must have received a booster dose if 3 months have passed from receiving a second dose.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Saudi Arabian citizens under the age of 16.

No proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers from selected countries with COVID-19 vaccination certificates issued from these countries are not required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result before traveling to India.
Travelers must upload their COVID-19 vaccination certificate through the Air Suvidha portal.
Mandatory health declaration form for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are required to complete an Air Suvidha self-declaration form online a maximum of 72 hours before departure to India. Travelers must upload their COVID-19 vaccination certificate during the process. Travelers will receive an updated application document via email and are required to show this document to the immigration authority on arrival in India.
Travelers departing from Saudi Arabia require proof of vaccination
Saudi citizens departing from Saudi must have proof that they have been fully vaccinated.
Citizens are considered to be fully vaccinated if:
- They have received a booster dose if more than 3 months have passed since their final dose;
- They have received their final dose, and no more than 3 months have passed.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Saudi Arabian citizens under the age of 16;
- Children (foreigners) under the age of 12 years; however, must have a valid health insurance policy approved by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to cover the risks of COVID-19.
- Travelers (foreigners) whose status in Tawakkalna appears as “exempted” from the COVID-19 vaccine are to be treated equally as those whose status in Tawakkalna appears as IMMUNE.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for India
Fully vaccinated travelers from a country with approved vaccination certificates must provide a vaccination certificate issued in one of these countries to be exempt from presenting proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result. Currently, vaccination certificates are accepted from these countries:

Fully vaccinated travelers unable to present a valid vaccination certificate from a country in this list may be required to follow the requirements for unvaccinated travelers and present proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result.
Some Indian states also require either proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a current negative test result and/or testing on arrival if entering from other Indian states.
Travelers must have a valid vaccination certificate showing it has passed at least 15 days since the completion of the COVID-19 vaccination schedule.

On Arrival
COVID-19 test may be required on arrival
Travelers may be required to take a COVID-19 RT-PCR test at the airport at their own expense. Travelers with transit connections in India are also subject to tests on arrival.
Travelers who test negative should self-monitor for 14 days. If the test result is positive they should send a sample for genomic testing and start with treatment as per laid down standard protocol.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 5.
No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in India. Instead, travelers are required to self-monitor their health for 14 days on arrival. If travelers develop signs or symptoms of COVID-19, they must immediately self-isolate and report to their nearest health facility or call the national helpline number or state helpline number.

Travelers are advised by the Indian government to download the Aarogya Setu contact tracing application on their mobile phones.
Travelers are required to have an Indian mobile phone number to register their profile.
Health screening on arrival
Temperature screening is required for all travelers before departure to India, and on arrival in India.
