Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for vaccinated travelers

Fully vaccinated travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure. They must also submit a declaration of the authenticity of the test results report.

The test result should be submitted through the Air Suvidha portal.

Different requirements apply to fully vaccinated travelers from countries with approved vaccination certificates. These travelers can provide a vaccination certificate issued from one of the following countries to be exempt from presenting proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result.

Mandatory health declaration form for vaccinated travelers

Fully vaccinated travelers are required to complete an Air Suvidha self-declaration form online a maximum of 72 hours before departing to India. Travelers must upload their negative COVID-19 test results and a declaration of test results authenticity. Travelers will receive an updated application document via email and are required to show this document to the immigration authority on arrival in India.

Travelers can apply for an exemption from presenting a negative test result only in case of death in the family, and they must apply in the portal at least 72 hours before boarding.

Fully vaccinated travelers unable to present a valid vaccination certificate from a country in this list may be required to follow the requirements for unvaccinated travelers and present proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result. Some Indian states also require either proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a current negative test result or testing on arrival if entering from other Indian states. Travelers must have a valid vaccination certificate showing that at least 15 days have passed since completing the COVID-19 vaccination schedule.
