Transit through Hong Kong International Airport is allowed
Travelers can transit through Hong Kong International Airport. Travelers in transit must have an onward flight ticket or boarding pass that confirms departure a maximum of 24 hours after the scheduled arrival time in Hong Kong. Baggage must also be tagged through to the onward destination. Travelers must confirm in advance that they can enter the final destination.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results is required
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test (RAT) result (which can be self-administered or by professional swab sampling) or a polymerase chain reaction-based nucleic acid test result. Travelers must take the RAT test a maximum of 24 hours or a PCR test a maximum of 48 hours before the scheduled departure time of the last flight to Hong Kong SAR.
Travelers must keep the photos of the negative test results or the test report.

- Travelers under the age of 4.
- A Pcr Test Up To 48 hours Before Final Boarding
- An Antigen Test Up To 24 hours Before Final Boarding
Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is not required for Hong Kong SAR
Travelers don’t need proof of COVID-19 vaccination before traveling to Hong Kong.
Recommended health declaration form
All travelers are recommended to complete a health declaration form before arrival in Hong Kong. Travelers can include the negative pre-departure COVID-19 rapid antigen (RAT) test or a polymerase chain reaction-based nucleic acid test (PCR) results in the form. After submitting the online form, the system will generate a QR code valid for 96 hours.
For Transit
Proof of pre-departure COVID-19 test is not required for transit
Travelers don’t need a COVID-19 test when transiting through Hong Kong SAR.
On Arrival
Recommended COVID-19 testing after arrival
Travelers are recommended to take a daily COVID-19 rapid antigen test (RAT) from the day of arrival in Hong Kong until Day 5 after arrival in Hong Kong.
Travelers can report daily RAT results and health status via the ”Electronic COVID-19 Medical Surveillance System” (eCMSS) during the self-monitoring period.
Quarantine is not required
Travelers don’t need to quarantine on arrival in Hong Kong.
Health screening on arrival
All travelers must pass a temperature screening on arrival in Hong Kong. Travelers with a high temperature will undergo further checks.

Travelers don’t need to wear masks in public places.
