Border Status
Travel is allowed with restrictions for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers aged 18 years and older are allowed to enter Ghana. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Transit is allowed
Travelers are allowed to transit through Accra, and Kotoka International Airport without requirements as long as they do not leave the international transit zone.
Travelers who leave the airport transit zone will be required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival.

No proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result before traveling to Ghana.
Mandatory health declaration form
All travelers are required to complete a health declaration form no more than 3 days before traveling to Ghana.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Ghana
Travelers are required to show proof of vaccination when traveling to Ghana.
Travelers are considered fully vaccinated when they have had a full course of a vaccine approved by the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) of Ghana or that are on the World Health Organization (WHO) Emergency Use Listing. Travelers must have received the last dose of the COVID-19 vaccine at least 14-days before departure to Ghana.
Approved 2 dose vaccinations are Sputnik V, Covishield (Oxford/AstraZeneca), Pfizer BioNTech, Moderna, Vaxzevria, COVAXIN, Sinopharm, CoronaVac (Sinovac), COVOVAX, and NUVAXOVID. The approved 1 dose vaccination is Janssen (Johnson & Johnson).
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 18.

Quarantine may be required
Travelers who test positive for COVID-19 on their test on arrival in Ghana must quarantine for 7 days at a designated health facility.
Unvaccinated and partially vaccinated Ghanaians and residents of Ghana must quarantine at home for 7 days or get vaccinated after their arrival in Ghana.
Health screening on arrival
Temperature screening is required for all passengers on arrival.
