Border Status
Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers arriving from selected countries are allowed to enter France. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Transit is allowed
Travelers are allowed to transit through France for a maximum of 24 hours. Travelers must complete their attestation form before travel and stay in the international zone at the airport during transit.

Before You Leave
No proof of pre-departure COVID-19 test required for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers are not required to have a COVID-19 test result before traveling to France.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for France
Fully vaccinated travelers must have proof of vaccination to enter France.
Only vaccines authorized by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) are accepted. These are Pfizer (Comirnaty), Moderna, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), AstraZeneca (Covishield), and Johnson & Johnson (Janssen).
Travelers who are eligible for the EU Digital COVID-19 Certificate or equivalent may use it to present proof. For details, please check the link.
French authorities also accept the following vaccine combinations: AstraZeneca/Pfizer Cominarty - AstraZeneca/Moderna and Pfizer/Moderna.
Accepted vaccination schedule:
- 7 days after the last dose for 2-dose vaccines (Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria and Covishield));
- 4 weeks after receiving a 1-dose vaccine (Johnson & Johnson);
- 7 days after the dose for vaccines administered to travelers who have already had COVID-19 (only one dose is necessary);
- 7 days after a booster mRNA dose (Moderna or Pfizer) after 2 doses of a vaccine on the WHO’s health emergencies list (Sinovac/Coronavac or Sinopharm/BBIB-PVeroCells).
In addition to the requirements above, travelers aged over 18 years and 1 month must have received a booster mRNA dose no later than 9 months following the injection of the last required dose.
Travelers unable to present valid proof of vaccination may be required to comply with the rules for unvaccinated travelers.
The following certificates are also accepted:
- UK's proof of COVID-19 recovery and vaccination record;
- US CDC vaccination card;
- COVID-19 tests and vaccination certificates issued in Malaysia in accordance with the ‘Vaccine Management System’.
Mandatory passenger locator form
Travelers, arriving by air transportation, must fill in the digital Passenger Locator Form before travel. Travelers without digital devices can complete a paper form.
The Passenger Locator form is not required for those traveling by land or water transportation.
For Transit
No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results required for transit
Travelers connecting through France are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result, provided they transit a maximum of 24 hours and they don't leave the airport.
On Arrival
No quarantine required
Travelers arriving from selected countries are not required to quarantine on arrival.
While There
Masks are mandatory on public transportation
Travelers are required to wear masks on public transportation.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 11.
