Travelers are allowed to enter Eritrea by air. All land borders are currently closed. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers, regardless of whether fully vaccinated or not, must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Eritrea.

Mandatory proof of vaccination before exiting Pakistan
Most Pakistani travelers are not allowed to travel internationally unless they have proof of vaccination. Travelers over the age of 15 are required to be fully vaccinated to travel internationally.
Non-Pakistani passport holders are allowed to travel without proof of vaccination.
Pakistanis that entered Pakistan before October 1st, 2021, are allowed to travel internationally without proof of vaccination.
Pakistanis who are medically advised against COVID-19 vaccination and holding a certificate from a classified specialist Doctor are allowed to travel internationally without a vaccination certificate.

Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers are required to take a COVID-19 rapid antigen test on arrival in Eritrea.
Quarantine may be required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are required to take a COVID-19 rapid antigen test on arrival. Travelers who test positive are required to 14 days quarantine at a government-approved hotel at their own expense.
