No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result to enter Ecuador.
Travelers unable to provide valid proof of vaccination may be required to follow the restrictions for unvaccinated travelers.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 3;
- Travelers who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last year, show that they have a proof of positive PCR test taken no more than 14 days and less than one year ago.
Mandatory pre-registration form before exiting Colombia
All travelers are required to fill out a pre-registration form before they depart from Colombia. It must be filled at least 1 hour, and a maximum of 72 hours before departure. Travelers will be required to show confirmation of registration before boarding.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 18.
Mandatory health declaration form
Travelers are required to complete a health declaration form online before departure to Ecuador. Travelers who are unable to complete the form online must submit a physical form to the Ministry of Health officials on arrival in Ecuador.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Ecuador
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a vaccination certificate with a QR code or a vaccination card showing they received all doses required of a vaccine a minimum of 14 days before arrival.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 3;
- Travelers who have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last year can present proof of positive COVID-19 PCR test taken no less than 14 days and no more than 1 year ago;
- Refuges affected by arm conflict between Rusia and Ukraine.

Mandatory proof of vaccination for the Galapagos Islands
Fully vaccinated travelers, including Ecuadorian citizens and Galapagos residents, must have a vaccination certificate with a QR code or a vaccination card showing they received all doses required of a vaccine a minimum of 14 days before arrival in the Galapagos Islands.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 3
On Arrival
COVID-19 test on arrival may be required
Travelers may be selected by the authorities to take a COVID-19 test on arrival if they are suspected to have symptoms or contact with a COVID-19 case during travel.
No quarantine required
Asymptomatic travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Ecuador.
Symptomatic travelers who are selected to test on arrival and receive a positive test result must quarantine for 10 days.
Mandatory traffic control card for the Galapagos Islands
Travelers must complete a traffic control card issued by the Galapagos Government Council. Travelers can receive this card from the Galapagos Government Council counter located in Quito or Guayaquil airports.
