Travel is allowed
Travelers are allowed to enter Chile.
Transit is allowed
Travelers are allowed to transit through Chile by air, as long as they do not leave the international transit zone.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results is recommended
Travelers are recommended to have a negative COVID-19 test result.
Mandatory health insurance
Foreign non-resident travelers must have proof of health insurance with COVID-19 coverage for their stay in Chile. This insurance must cover at least 30,000 USD.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Chilean citizens, residents, and holders of diplomatic or official passports;
- Citizens of Spain without residency in Chile as long as they have valid forms E-CHL/09 and E-CH/11;
- travelers who meet an exemption through Decree 102.

Mandatory health declaration form
All travelers must complete a health form a maximum of 48 hours before arrival in Chile. Travelers must have the confirmation QR code they received by email to show to the airline while boarding.
Travelers with children under the age of 6 must include them in the same declaration. Travelers with children over the age of 6 will have to make a separate declaration for them.
Proof of vaccination is recommended for Chile
Vaccinated travelers are recommended to have proof they have been fully vaccinated.
Travelers may validate their proof of vaccination before arrival via the Chilean mobility pass online portal, to be able to obtain the mobility pass. Please note the mobility pass is necessary for public activities.
COVID-19 test may be required on arrival
Travelers aged 2 years and older may be randomly selected to take a COVID-19 PCR test or antigen on arrival. Travelers undergoing the test must wait for the result at the point of entry.
Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers must wear masks in public places and on public transportation.
Fabric-made and reusable face masks are not allowed for domestic flights in Chile. Passengers will only be allowed to board the aircraft with surgical, 3 layers, or superior face masks (KN95, N95).
Mandatory mobility pass for public activities
A mobility pass is required for entering public places such as restaurants, cafes, sports centers, bus trips, event centers, theaters, and cinemas.
Vaccinated travelers can have their vaccination validated before arrival via the Chilean mobility pass online portal, to be able to obtain the mobility pass. Please note that approval of the mobility pass currently takes 15 to 30 days.
A negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result taken in a certified laboratory a maximum of 24 hours before the activity, may be used as a substitute for the Mobility Pass.
