Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
All travelers, including travelers in transit who exit the airport, must have a negative rapid COVID-19 PCR or antigen test result from a test taken a maximum of 1 day before arrival or a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result from a test taken a maximum of 3 days before arrival. The test must be taken at an accredited lab and must be from a nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal sample, or both. LAMP, antibody tests, self-administered tests, and home kits are not accepted for travel to Barbados.
Travelers should upload their results vis BIMSafe App or online at travelform.gov.bb and travel with a copy of their test results clearly showing the date the test was taken.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 5 unless they are symptomatic or any member of the travel party has a positive test result;
- Travelers who have recovered from COVID-19 within the previous 3 months whose pre-flight test is still positive, must have a letter from a medical practitioner with lab test results indicating the date of diagnosis and recovery. These travelers may be required to complete an assessment at one of the isolation facilities for 48 hours before being released from quarantine.

Mandatory travel authorization form
Travelers must complete an online form which is available 72 hours before arrival and should be submitted at least 24 hours before departure to Barbados. Once all required steps are completed travelers will receive a bar code via email. The bar code must be presented in printed or digital form on arrival.
If travelers experience technical difficulties when completing the form, it may be completed upon arrival in Barbados.

Travelers are recommended to download the BIM safe app to complete their immigration form, upload their negative COVID-19 test results or proof of vaccination, and monitor their health for 7 days on arrival.
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Barbados
Vaccinated travelers must present a vaccination certificate showing that at least 14 days have passed since they received the final dose of the vaccine.
Vaccines accepted are AstraZeneca, Moderna, Pfizer BioNTech, Johnson & Johnson, Sinopharm, Sinovac, Sputnik V, and Novavax.
Travelers who have mixed vaccine regimens will be considered fully vaccinated.
Travelers are recommended to pre-submit their vaccine certificates for approval. Those who are unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.
Travelers departing from Canadian airports require proof of vaccination
All travelers departing from Canada via air, rail, or cruise ships need to be fully vaccinated. This requirement applies to all travelers aged 12 years plus 4 months and older. This requirement applies to international and domestic departures.
Fully vaccinated travelers must have received a full course of vaccination with an accepted vaccine. The accepted 2 dose vaccines are:
- AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD (ChAdOx1-S, Vaxzevria, AZD1222);
- Bharat Biotech (Covaxin, BBV152 A, B, C);
- Medicago Covifenz;
- Novavax (NVX-COV2373, Nuvaxovid, Covovax);
- Moderna (mRNA-1273);
- Pfizer-BioNTech (Comirnaty, tozinameran, BNT162b2);
- Sinopharm BIBP (BBIBP-CorV);
- Sinovac (CoronaVac, PiCoVacc).
The accepted 1 dose vaccine is:
- Janssen/Johnson & Johnson.
Travelers that have received a combination of 2 accepted vaccines are considered fully vaccinated. Travelers must have received their last dose at least 14 days before arrival.
Travelers who fail to comply, refuse, or provide untruthful information on this measure, may be subject to a penalty or a fine.

On Arrival
COVID-19 test on arrival may be required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers may be randomly selected by health officials to take a COVID-19 rapid antigen test on arrival.
No quarantine is required for travelers as they await the results of their COVID-19 rapid antigen test taken on arrival.

Fully vaccinated travelers who have their valid negative COVID-19 test and vaccination certificate validated and receive clearance on arrival are not required to quarantine.
