Travelers are allowed to travel to the Bahamas. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Transit is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to transit through the Bahamas if they remain on the plane.
Travelers who leave the plane are required to:
- Have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 3 days before their arrival in The Bahamas;
- Fill out a Bahamas Health Visa before departure.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or rapid antigen test result, taken a maximum of 3 days (72 hours) before arrival in the Bahamas.
Vaccinated travelers will be required to upload negative COVID-19 test results in addition to valid proof of vaccination.
Travelers aged between 2-11 years are required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or rapid antigen test. Travelers wanting to travel between islands in the Bahamas are not required to present proof of a negative COVID-19 test result anymore.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 2.
- A Rt Pcr Test Up To 3 days Before Arrival
- A Rapid Test Up To 3 days Before Arrival
- A Antigen Test Up To 3 days Before Arrival
Mandatory proof of vaccination for Bahamas
Vaccinated travelers must upload a valid proof of vaccination in the Bahamas Health Visa portal, confirming that it has passed 2 weeks since they received the last dose of vaccination.
The Bahamas Government accepts AstraZeneca, Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, Sinopharm, Covaxin, and Sinovac vaccines. Mixed and matched second doses of COVID-19 vaccines are accepted.
Mandatory Health Insurance
All travelers are required to opt-in for mandatory COVID-19 health insurance when submitting their Bahamas Travel Health Visa application. The insurance covers travelers for the duration of their stay in The Bahamas.
On Arrival
No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in the Bahamas. Travelers are allowed to move about and explore the destination beyond the confines of their hotel or other accommodations.

Travelers must wear masks in public places where social distancing is not possible.
