Entry restricted for international travelers
Travelers are not allowed to enter American Samoa. Regularly scheduled traveler’s flights and entry permits are suspended until further notice.
Entry restrictions do not apply to:
- Travelers with the Governor or GAR approval.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers must show proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. Travelers must take a test a maximum of 72 hours before departure to American Samoa.
Travelers must submit a test result via the TALOFAPASS system.

Mandatory travel form
Travelers must register with TALOFAPASS online at least 14 days before arrival in American Samoa. American Samoa citizens and residents are required to apply online for repatriation to American Samoa.
Mandatory health forms for residents
Nationals and residents entering American Samoa must provide a travel declaration form and a health clearance by a licensed physician.
On Arrival
Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers must take a COVID-19 test on arrival in American Samoa.
Quarantine may be required
Travelers who test COVID-19 positive on arrival must quarantine at government-designated facilities for 5 days and then for another 5 days at their homes.
While There
Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers are required to wear masks in public places. The use of N95 and KN95 masks is recommended.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 2.
