Fully vaccinated travelers are allowed to enter Chile. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.

Travelers must have proof of vaccination validated by the Chilean authorities before traveling to Chile to obtain the mobility pass, which will be activated after mandatory quarantine.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results

Description

Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure of their last direct flight to Chile.

More Details

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers under the age of 2;
  • Travelers who receive persistent positive COVID-19 test results after previously being infected with COVID-19 have the option to include 2 positive PCR tests. One of the tests must have been taken a maximum of 72 hours before arriving in Chile, and the other test must have been taken more than 14 days and a maximum of one month before arrival.

Mandatory health insurance

Foreign non-resident travelers must have proof of health insurance with COVID-19 coverage for their stay in Chile. This insurance must cover at least 30,000 USD.

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Chilean citizens, residents, and holders of diplomatic or official passports;
  • Citizens of Spain without residency in Chile as long as they have valid forms E-CHL/09 and E-CH/11.

Travelers must have proof they have been fully vaccinated. Only vaccines approved by the Chilean Public Health Institute (ISP), the World Health Organization (WHO), the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA), or the European Medicines Agency (EMA) will be accepted. Travelers must have their vaccination validated before arrival via the Chilean mobility pass online portal, to be able to obtain the mobility pass, which will be activated after mandatory quarantine.

Please note that approval of the mobility pass currently takes 15 to 30 days.
