Description

Travelers are considered fully vaccinated against COVID-19 if 2 weeks have passed since their second dose in a 2-dose series, such as the Pfizer-BioNTech or Moderna vaccines, or 2 weeks after a single-dose vaccine, such as Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

The US government currently accepts vaccines approved or authorized for emergency use by the U.S. FDA and the WHO. Vaccines accepted are Pfizer-BioNTech (e.g., COMIRNATY, Tozinameran), AstraZeneca-Oxford (e.g., Covishield, Vaxzevria), Janssen (Johnson & Johnson), Moderna, Sinopharm BIBP, and Sinovac-CoronaVac.

Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

Any combination of 2 doses of an FDA approved/authorized or WHO emergency use listed COVID-19 2-dose series are accepted. The second dose in a 2-dose heterologous series must have been received no earlier than 17 days (21 days with a 4 day grace period) after the first dose.
