Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results

Description

Travelers arriving must have a negative COVID-19 test result (PCR, or Antigen) from a test taken a maximum of 48 hours before arrival in Finland.

Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof.

Travelers coming from a few municipalities in Norway and Sweden are exempt from having a negative test result before traveling to Finland, depending on their vaccination or recovery from COVID-19 status. For more details, please check the source.

  • Finnish citizens and permanent residents;

Mandatory proof of vaccination

Description

Travelers who are fully vaccinated must present a vaccination certificate for one of the approved Coronavirus vaccines from this list, Pfizer-BioNTech Comirnaty, Moderna, Astra Zeneca Vaxzervia, Janssen, BIBP Sinopharm, Covidshield Serum Institute of India, and CoronaVac Sinovac. The certificate must be in a suitable language, such as Finnish, Swedish, or English.

Travelers need to have received the last vaccination dose at least 7 days before the travel date. Travelers must have received all the required doses of one of the vaccines listed above to be considered fully vaccinated.

Travelers who have proof of recovery from COVID-19 and who have at least one dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine will be considered fully vaccinated. This must be presented on a single certificate.

Please check the link for more information on accepted vaccine combinations. Combinations of any of the vaccines listed in the link to reach a full vaccination series are approved.

Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof. Vaccine certificates issued outside of the European Union are also accepted in Finland.
