Description

Fully vaccinated travelers must have a vaccination certificate recognized by the Bahraini Government.

All vaccination certificates issued by GCC countries, or issued by countries Bahrain has signed a mutual vaccination recognition agreement with, as Cyprus, Greece, Hungary, Seychelles, Jordan, and Israel, or issued by countries whose citizens are eligible for a visa on arrival will be accepted on arrival. Vaccination certificates containing a QR code for vaccines approved by the World Health Organization, or the Kingdom of Bahrain, will also be accepted on arrival.

Travelers are considered to be fully vaccinated 14 days after receiving the second dose in a 2-dose vaccination series (e.g. Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, etc.) or 14 days after receiving a single dose for single-dose vaccination series (e.g. Johnson & Johnson).

Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

The vaccination status of Bahrain citizens and residents who are eligible for a booster shot will be changed on the BeAware application, from the Green Shield to the Yellow Shield, effective from December 1st, 2021, until they receive their booster shot.
