Travel is allowed
Travelers are allowed to enter San Marino. Entry into San Marino is only possible through Italy, so travelers are advised to review Italy's travel restrictions before traveling.
Before You Leave
No proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to provide proof of a negative COVID-19 test result before traveling to San Marino.
Travelers who have been outside Italy or Vatican City in the past 14 days before arrival in San Marino are required to present a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen test taken a maximum of 48 hours before arrival. Evidence should be sent to [email protected] or [email protected].
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers who have been outside of Italy in the past 14 days must present proof of vaccination. Vaccination certificates must be sent to [email protected].
The EU digital COVID certificate, Green Certificate, NHS COVID pass, or the CDC "white card" are also accepted as valid documents for entry.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 10;
- Travelers with proof of recovery from COVID-19 in the last 6 months.
No quarantine required
Travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in San Marino. Entry into San Marino is only possible through Italy, so travelers are recommended to check Italy's travel restrictions before traveling.
While You're There
Masks are mandatory in public
Travelers are required to wear masks in businesses and on public transportation. Travelers are highly recommended to wear masks outdoors and the use of the mask indoors is mandatory when it is not possible to maintain a distance of 1.5 meters.
