Description

Fully vaccinated travelers arriving with valid vaccination certificates are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result before departure to Norway.

Mandatory proof of vaccination

Description

Fully vaccinated travelers must carry proof that meets the outlined criteria. Travelers who cannot show proof using one of the indicated methods are not considered fully vaccinated by Norway.

Travelers are considered to be fully vaccinated if 1 week has passed since they received the second vaccine dose or if 3 weeks have passed since they received their single-dose vaccine.

Vaccines need to be approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA). Currently, certificates (Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, or EU digital COVID-19 certificate) with a QR code can be verified by Norwegian authorities.

The US CDC card is not accepted as valid proof.

Travelers who can present English and Welsh NHS COVID Pass, Northern Ireland, and Scottish COVID-19 vaccine certificates with a verifiable QR code will be allowed to enter Norway.

Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof.

Travelers, including citizens, are required to complete a trip registration form a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Norway.

Travelers must be able to provide a confirmation of a suitable place to stay during the mandatory quarantine period. If they have been exempt from quarantine (both work and leisure time), they only need to register their personal data and tick the appropriate boxes.

This requirement does not apply to:

Due to a recent increase in confirmed cases of a new COVID-19 variant, restrictions have been reintroduced by the government to curb further outbreaks. Venues are currently banned from serving alcohol indoors and outdoors. Private gatherings remain limited to a maximum of 30 people and a maximum of 50 people outdoors. Public gatherings remain limited to a maximum of 30 people indoors and a maximum of 200 people outdoors with allocated seating.
