Travel is allowed with restrictions
Most travelers are allowed to enter Moldova. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Transit is allowed
Travelers are allowed to transit through Moldova. Travelers must stay in the airport transit area. The maximum transit time is 24 hours.
Before You Leave
No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for vaccinated travelers
Travelers who are fully vaccinated are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result before departure to Moldova.
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Travelers who are fully vaccinated must have a COVID-19 vaccination certificate in Romanian, English, French, German, Italian, or Russian. The vaccination certificate is valid if at least 14 days have passed since the receiving of the complete vaccination schedule.
Quarantine may be required
Travelers with a travel history in selected countries during the 14 days prior to their arrival, arriving without a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result of proof of vaccination, must quarantine for 14 days on arrival in Moldova. Travelers must sign a declaration stating they will comply with the order. Travelers may undergo a test on the 7th day of their quarantine, and with a negative result may end their quarantine early.
Mandatory health pass for public activity
Travelers, in order to attend any show, concert, festival, theater, cinema, concert hall, nightclub, dance floor, restaurants, cafes, and other venues and activities in Moldova, must have one of the following documents:
- A negative COVID-19 PCR test or an antigen test;
- A COVID-19 vaccine certificate;
- A recovery certificate from COVID-19 in the previous 6 months;
- A COVID-19 antibodies certificate, valid for 90 days from the exam date.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 18.
