Description

Travelers arriving from selected countries with a valid vaccination certificate recognized by the Czech Republic including a booster dose are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result.

Travelers without a booster dose are required to have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure.

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers under the age of 12;
  • Vaccinated travelers aged 12-18, who do not have a booster dose.

Mandatory proof of vaccination

Description

Travelers who are fully vaccinated in selected countries must present proof of vaccination. Travelers are fully vaccinated after 14 days have passed from receiving their second dose or 14 days in case of 1 dose vaccination.

Travelers unable to present a valid certificate may be required to comply with rules for unvaccinated travelers.

The validity of vaccination certificates is up to 9 months. After vaccination with a booster shot, the validity of the certificate is not limited at this time.

Certificates of selected countries and the EU Digital Certificate are accepted by the Czech government.

Approved vaccinations are currently Vaxzevria/AstraZeneca, Spikevax/Moderna, Comirnaty/Pfizer, Janssen, and Covishield. Please see the link for more information on approved vaccinations.

Description

Travelers who have been only in selected countries in the previous 14 days are not required to quarantine on arrival in the Czech Republic. Travelers are required to wear masks (FFP2, KN 95) whenever leaving their place of accommodation until presenting a negative result of a COVID-19 RT-PCR test after arrival.

Mandatory health pass for public activity

Description

Travelers are required to present proof of vaccination or proof of recovery certificate before checking in to hotels, restaurants, and other public places.

Valid vaccination certificates are EU COVID Digital certificates, third-country certificates that are recognized as equivalent to the EU COVID digital certificate, and recognized certificates from other countries.

The validity of vaccination certificates is up to 9 months. After vaccination with a booster shot, the validity of the certificate is not limited at this time.

A valid certificate of recovery must be presented via EU COVID Digital Certificate, no longer than 180 days after the positive COVID-19 RT-PRC test.

More Details

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers aged between 12-17 years;
  • Travelers with indicated contraindications to all COVID-19 vaccines that have been properly marked in their health records (Czech Information system on communicable diseases);
  • Travelers that have received at least 1 dose are still not holders of a valid vaccination certificate (14 days after the second dose).
