Description

Ticket sales are suspended for designated VTL flights for entry into Singapore from all VTL countries until January 20th, 2022, 23:59h (SGT). Travelers may still book tickets for flights arriving in Singapore from January 21st, 2022, onwards if available.

Fully vaccinated travelers arriving from selected countries in the previous 14 days before arrival in Singapore are allowed to enter Singapore under the Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL).

Travelers must arrive in Singapore on a designated VTL flight in order to be eligible for the VTL.

Unvaccinated children aged 12 and under are eligible to enter Singapore on the VTL if accompanied by a fully vaccinated VTL traveler.

Description

Travelers are allowed to transit through Singapore’s Changi Airport, however, transit is only possible in certain circumstances. Only travelers arriving with an airline whose transfer route has been approved by CAAS will be allowed to transit at Changi Airport. Travelers should check with their airlines before undertaking a journey via Singapore.

More Details

All travelers transiting through Singapore (including Singapore Citizens and PRs) via flight or ferry will need to present a valid negative COVID-19 PCR test taken a maximum of 48 hours before departure before they are allowed to board their flight or ferry for travel to Singapore.

This does not apply to:

  • Travelers who only had travel history to Hong Kong, Macao, Mainland China, and Taiwan in the past 14 days before arriving in Singapore to transit are not required to take a Pre-Departure Test (PDT) before departing for Singapore.

Description

Fully vaccinated travelers, including Singapore citizens and residents, must have a negative COVID-19 PCR or antigen rapid test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 2 days before departure to Singapore by an internationally accredited or recognized lab/clinic/medical facility and must be in English, or include an English translation.

The Ministry of Health of Singapore provides a list of approved test providers in third countries. For countries not available on the list, travelers should check with the country/region of departure’s Department of Health or Ministry of Health equivalent for approved test providers.

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers under the age of 3;
  • Fully vaccinated travelers with proof of recovery between 7 to 90 days before the date of departure. Accepted proof of recovery must be a positive COVID-19 PCR or rapid antigen test result administered at an approved facility, or a medical discharge memo issued by the relevant state authority. Proof of recovery must be in English or accompanied by an English translation, contain the traveler's name, date of the test, date of birth or passport number, and must not be handwritten.
  • Fully vaccinated travelers who test positive in the 7 days before departure. These travelers must present proof of an accepted negative COVID-19 PCR test or antigen rapid test taken a maximum of 72 hours after their first positive test.

Mandatory health insurance

Description

Short-term visitors applying to enter Singapore via the Air Travel Pass (ATP), Reciprocal Green Lanes (RGLs), or Vaccinated Travel Pass (VTP) will need to have travel insurance for their COVID-19-related medical treatment and hospitalization costs in Singapore, with a minimum coverage of S$30,000. Visitors should purchase travel insurance prior to traveling to Singapore. All short-term visitors are required to prepare an electronic or physical copy of their insurance policy to bring with them to facilitate their entry into Singapore.

Employers must buy COVID-19 medical insurance for all Work Permit, Training Work Permit, and S Pass holders entering Singapore before the workers arrive in Singapore. The insurance for business trips must meet these requirements: Covers at least $10,000 for medical expenses if the worker develops COVID-19 symptoms or tests positive a maximum of 14 days after arrival in Singapore and Covers workers on work pass in-principle approvals (IPAs).

Fully vaccinated travelers must have received a full course of vaccination with an accepted vaccine. The accepted 2 dose vaccines are Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria), Serum Institute of India (Covishield), Sinopharm, Sinovac, Covaxin, or Novavax, and the accepted 1 dose vaccine is Janssen. Travelers that have received a combination of 2 accepted vaccines are considered fully vaccinated. Travelers must have received their last dose at least 14 days before departure.

Fully vaccinated travelers are required to present proof of vaccination in specific formats from approved countries.
