The following information is applicable to people who are fully vaccinated and traveling from Sint Maarten to Malaysia.View restrictions for unvaccinated travelers

Travel is allowed with restrictions for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are allowed to enter Malaysia.
Travelers are only allowed to enter under the Langkawi International Tourist Bubble (LITB). Travelers entering through the LITB program must stay in Langkawi for a minimum of 3 days to enter Malaysia. After 7 days in Langkawi, travelers may travel to other destinations in the country.
Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Entry restrictions do not apply to:
- Malaysian citizens and permanent residents;
- Long Term Visit Pass holders;
- MyTravelPass holders;
- Travelers under the age of 18 traveling with fully vaccinated guardians;
- Travelers on emergency or compassionate grounds;
- International students with written approval from Malaysian Immigration.
Transit is allowed
Travelers may transit through the international terminals of Malaysian airports as long as they are not required to pass through immigration while in transit. The maximum transit time is 24 hours.
Before You Leave
Proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test result for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 2 days before departure to Malaysia.
This requirement is different for:
- Travelers with proof of recovery from COVID-19 between 11 and 60 days before departure through printed or digital laboratory test results. These travelers have the option of taking a professionally administered COVID-19 rapid antigen test a maximum of 2 days before departure.

Mandatory COVID-19 test and quarantine booking
Travelers arriving are required to pay for their COVID-19 swab test to be taken on arrival and quarantine costs through an online application before they arrive in Malaysia. Returning citizens are encouraged to make the payment beforehand as well to speed up their immigration process.
MyTravelPass application before arrival in Malaysia
All non-Malaysian travelers are required to obtain entry approval from the Immigration Department of Malaysia before departure to Malaysia.
The requirement does not apply to:
- Fully vaccinated travelers on designated Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) flights;
- Fully vaccinated travelers arriving under the Langkawi International Tourist Bubble;
- Diplomat (Exemption Order) / Dependent / Foreign Maid;
- Employment Pass (Category I, II, III) / Dependent / Foreign Maid;
- Resident Pass-Talent (RP-T) / Dependent / Foreign Maid;
- Professional Visit Pass - Specialist;
- Professional Visit Pass;
- Permanent Resident (PR) / Spouse to PR / Child to PR;
- Long Term Pass (Husband / Wife / Child) to Citizen;
- Senior Citizen Pass;
- Widow / Widow Pass to Citizens;
- Student Pass / Dependents / Escorts;
- Malaysia My Second Home Pass (MM2H) / Dependents / Foreign Maid;
- Resident Pass;
- Temporary Work Visit Pass (PLKS);
- Foreign Maid (PRA).
Re-entry permit for expatriates
Expatriates and their dependents are required to apply through the MyEntry online in order to travel to Malaysia. Expatriate travelers must have formal approval from the Malaysian Government before attempting to enter Malaysia.
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers are required to provide proof of vaccination to enter Singapore.
Travelers vaccinated in Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Canada, the EU, India, South Korea, or the United Kingdom are required to present proof of vaccination in specific formats from approved countries.
Travelers are considered fully vaccinated 14 days after the second dose of a 2 dose vaccine such as Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Moderna, Sinopharm, Sputnik, or Sinovac, or 28 days after a single dose of Johnson & Johnson or CanSinoBio.

Mandatory health insurance
Travelers entering Malaysia through the Langkawi International Tourist Bubble are required to provide proof of medical insurance with minimum coverage of USD 80,000 covering their entire stay in Malaysia.
Mandatory travel package booking
Travelers arriving under the Langkawi International Tourist Bubble must have a minimum of 3 days booked in Langkawi. Travel must be booked with a tour operator in Malaysia who is registered and licensed with the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) or through a foreign representative who uses the services of a Malaysian tour operator registered and licensed with MOTAC.
Travel packages must include:
- Details of the tour operator, including their licence number;
- Accommodation details;
- Booking and payment for mandatory COVID-19 tests;
- Tour guide services;
- Itinerary details.
Travelers may travel to other destinations in Malaysia after staying in Langkawi for a minimum of 7 days.

Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers arriving from selected countries are required to present a receipt of confirmation for payment of an RT-PCR test to be taken on arrival in Malaysia.
Travelers must obtain approval to travel prior to making payment.

Mandatory COVID-19 tests after arrival
Vaccinated travelers arriving under the Langkawi International Travel Bubble must take professionally administered COVID-19 antigen tests on days 3 and 5 after arrival in Langkawi.
Travelers must take additional self-administered COVID-19 antigen tests on days 2, 4 and 6 after arrival in Langkawi. Travelers must report the results to the MySejahtera app.
Quarantine may be required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers arriving under the Langkawi International Tourist Bubble (LITB) are not required to quarantine on arrival.
Fully vaccinated travelers with proof of recovery from COVID-19 between 11 and 60 days before departure through digital or laboratory test results are not required to quarantine on arrival. These travelers must undergo a supervised COVID-19 rapid antigen test on arrival.
Fully vaccinated travelers without proof of recovery who are not arriving under the LITB are required to quarantine for 7 days. These travelers must take a test on day 5 of their quarantine.
Fully vaccinated travelers who are nationals of Malaysia, permanent residents, or have another status in Malaysia who wish to quarantine at home may apply for approval. Travelers can add up to 10 travelers per application and should apply at least 4 to 10 days before travel.
Travelers arriving from the United Kingdom are required to complete daily COVID-19 self-tests during the quarantine period and report the results to the MySejahtera app.
