Travelers are allowed to enter Benin. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.

Proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 test required before arrival
Travelers are required to provide proof of a negative pre-departure COVID-19 PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 48 hours before departure to Benin.

Recommended COVID-19 test booking
Travelers arriving by air are recommended to book their COVID-19 tests online before travel. The tests will be taken in Benin. Travelers may be required to present proof of registration or proof of ability to pay before boarding to Benin.

Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers are required to take 2 COVID-19 tests (a TDR rapid test, and a PCR test) on arrival at the Cotonou Cadjehoun Airport at their own expense. Travelers staying less than 3 days do not need to take the second test.
Travelers are recommended to book their COVID-19 tests online before travel.
Travelers who stay in Benin longer than 15 days must undergo a third COVID-19 test. The test can be performed without a prescription at the Palais des Congres in Cotonou or at routine screening sites throughout the country.
Quarantine may be required
Travelers who test positive to the COVID-19 rapid TDR test are required to self-quarantine while awaiting the results of the COVID-19 PCR test.
Travelers who test positive for COVID-19 may be subject to government-mandated quarantine measures at both entry and exit. This may include quarantine in a government-designated hotel at the traveler’s expense.
