Description

Travelers are allowed to transit through Spain. They must transit a maximum of 24 hours and stay in the international zone in the airport. Travelers must have their onward flight ticket and they must have their Transit QR code provided when they fill the health control form.

Fully vaccinated travelers from selected countries are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result for entry as long as they present valid proof of vaccination.

This requirement also applies to travelers departing from a Spanish Region going to the Canary Islands.

Mandatory proof of vaccination

Description

Travelers must present a certificate showing they are fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Travelers must have received their last dose at least 14 days before arrival in Spain and no more than 270 days before their arrival. Vaccines accepted are those approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and by the WHO.

Starting February 1st, 2022 travelers that have a vaccine certificate showing that their last dose was administered more than 270 days ago must also show a certificate proving a booster vaccination has been administered.

Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof. The United Kingdom’s COVID-19 vaccination record is also accepted. For more details, please see the source.
