Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to enter Sierra Leone by air. Please check quarantine and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Land and sea borders remain closed.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test result. The result must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure to Sierra Leone. A negative COVID-19 PCR test result should contain a QR code. Travelers must upload the test result to their online travel form.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 5.
- A Pcr Test Up To 72 hours Before Departure
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Fully vaccinated travelers from selected countries must present a vaccination certificate. The certificate is valid after 2 weeks have passed from receiving the second dose of a 2 dose COVID-19 vaccine or after 2 weeks have passed from receiving 1 dose of the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine before arrival in Sierra Leone.
Mandatory COVID-19 test on arrival
Travelers must take a COVID-19 RT-PCR and a rapid diagnostic test (RDT) on arrival at their own expense.
No quarantine required for vaccinated travelers
Fully vaccinated travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival.
