Travelers are allowed to enter Niger. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results before exiting Sierra Leone
Departing travelers must book a test on the government online portal. The test must be a COVID-19 PCR test taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure from Sierra Leone. A negative COVID-19 PCR test result should contain a QR code.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 5;
- Travelers staying for 5 days or less.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results before arrival
Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Niger. Travelers must create a PanaBios account and generate a Trusted Travel QR Code. Travelers with results from non-trusted travel compliant laboratories will be required to upload test results to the Global Haven System for authentication.

Mandatory 7-day quarantine
All travelers are required to self-quarantine on arrival for 7 days. At the end of quarantine, travelers must take a free COVID-19 test. If the result is negative, travelers can end self-quarantine and if the result is positive, they will have to follow government isolation procedures.
Travelers who intend to stay in Niger for less than 7 days are required to take a COVID-19 test on arrival and self-quarantine until they receive the results of the test. If the test is negative, travelers can end the self-quarantine.
Travelers who intend to stay in Niger for more than 7 days are required to self-quarantine at their final destination (home, hotel) for 7 days. On day 7 of self-quarantine travelers are required to take a second COVID-19 test. If the result is negative travelers can end quarantine and if the result is positive travelers will have to follow government quarantine procedures.
Travelers who intend to stay in Niger for more than 14 days are required to provide a contact telephone number in Niger and are required to go into quarantine for a period of 7 days at a precise address or home, and take a COVID-19 test at the end of it.

Temperature screening is required for all travelers on arrival in Niger.
