Travel is allowed with restrictions
Most international travelers are allowed to enter Nicaragua. Some international commercial flights have resumed. Please check quarantine and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results
Travelers from selected countries must have an original negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 96 hours before arrival in Nicaragua.
The Government of Nicaragua requires airlines to submit the COVID-19 test results and passport copies of all passengers 36 hours before the flight to Nicaragua. Please contact the airline to find out further details.

Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results before exiting Sierra Leone
Departing travelers must book a test on the government online portal. The test must be a COVID-19 PCR test taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure from Sierra Leone.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 2;
- Travelers staying for 5 days or less.
- A Pcr Test Up To 72 hours Before Departure
No quarantine required
The Nicaraguan government has not officially imposed any quarantine policies. Travelers are subject to contact tracing by the Health Authorities for 14 days and must not have respiratory symptoms.
