Travel is allowed with restrictions
Travelers are allowed to enter the Gambia. Please check the documentation, quarantine, and/or testing requirements before traveling.
Before You Leave
Proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results before exiting Sierra Leone
Departing travelers must book a test on the government online portal. The test must be a COVID-19 PCR test taken a maximum of 72 hours before departure from Sierra Leone. A negative COVID-19 PCR test result should contain a QR code.
This requirement does not apply to:
- Travelers under the age of 5;
- Travelers staying for 5 days or less.
- A Pcr Test Up To 72 hours Before Departure
No proof of negative pre-departure COVID-19 test results for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers from selected countries are not required to have a negative COVID-19 test result before arrival in the Gambia.
Mandatory proof of vaccination
Vaccinated travelers are required to have a valid vaccination certificate showing they received all vaccine doses required.
COVID-19 test may be required on arrival
Travelers may be required to take a COVID-19 rapid test on arrival.
No quarantine required for vaccinated travelers
Vaccinated travelers are not required to quarantine on arrival in Gambia.
Travelers who test positive on a test on arrival must quarantine and follow health authorities guidelines.
