Description

Travelers must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR real-time test result. The test must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before boarding their flight to Ecuador.

More Details

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers under the age of 2;
  • Travelers who have been diagnosed with COVID-19, and who after 1 month continue to obtain a positive result in the COVID-19 RT-PCR test, must present a medical certificate issued in the country of origin that supports their health status of not being in the contagious phase in order to enter Ecuador, as long as, they have an absence of symptoms;
  • Travelers who come from localities where the vaccination protocol contemplates the administration of the vaccine 6 months after the Covid-19 infection and for this reason, they have not been vaccinated; the certificate issued of the infection will be taken into account as if it were a vaccination certificate. These travelers must have the certificate of not having received the vaccine due to COVID-19 infection that does not exceed 6 months and the negative RT-PCR test.
  • Travelers who, due to their health condition, cannot receive the Covid-19 vaccine, must present a medical certificate that supports said condition, and the negative RT-PCR test will be required.

Travelers must be fully vaccinated to travel to Ecuador. Travelers must have a vaccination certificate showing they received all doses required of a vaccine a minimum of 14 days before arrival.

Ecuadorian citizens who have not yet received their vaccine and need to return to Ecuador will receive a 1-dose vaccine against COVID-19 available on arrival.
