Description

Most vaccinated travelers, including those in transit, must have a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR or antigen test result and present it at check-in. Antigen tests should be taken a maximum of 48 hours before arrival, while RT-PCR tests must be taken a maximum of 72 hours before arrival.

Antigen tests have to be carried out by approved professionals. Self-tests are not accepted.

More Details

This requirement does not apply to:

  • Travelers whose journey originated in Northern Ireland and have not been overseas in the 14-day prior to arrival;
  • Travelers unable to present evidence of a negative test result due to a persistently positive RT-PCR test after recovery. Instead, they must present a positive RT-PCR test result taken no less than 11 days and no more than 180 days prior to arrival;
  • Travelers under the age of 12.

All travelers, including those in transit through Ireland, must complete a passenger locator form a maximum of 72 hours before arrival in Ireland.

After completing this form travelers will receive an email that contains a receipt. This receipt verifies that travelers have completed the Passenger Locator Form. Travelers will be asked to show this receipt when boarding your plane, ferry, or to border officials. One form should be completed for each traveler aged 18 years or older. Details of children under the age of 18 should be included on a form completed by an adult accompanying them including name, age, and proof of the medical event.

Description

Travelers who are fully vaccinated must present a vaccination certificate showing that it has passed 7 days after the 2nd dose of Pfizer-BioNTech, 14 days after the 2nd dose of Moderna, 15 days after the 2nd dose of Oxford-AstraZeneca, 14 days after a single dose of Johnson & Johnson (Janssen), 14 days after the 2nd dose of Coronavac (Sinovac) or Sinopharm BIBP.

Mixed vaccines of any of the previously mentioned are recognized in Ireland as a complete vaccination if at least 14 days have passed after the second dose.

A single dose of any of the above vaccines was administered a maximum of 180 days after a positive COVID-19 RT-PCR test result is also accepted as a full vaccination. Travelers must hold proof of the positive COVID-19 test and the vaccine dose.

Travelers with access to the EU Digital Certificate may use it to present proof.
